Oh, so now the NFL wants to drug test Amon-Ra St. Brown. Not in the first 12 weeks of the season when Detroit's rookie receiver looked like a rookie receiver. No, the NFL has apparently decided that after three straight games of at least eight catches and 70 yards, St. Brown must be juicing.

St. Brown shared a screenshot on Twitter after catching eight passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in the Lions' stunning blowout of the Cardinals of what appears to be a text message from the NFL requesting a urine sample for performance enhancing substances (PES). All St. Brown could do was laugh.

The USC product has really taken off recently. After posting 3.5 receptions for 32 yards per game with one touchdown through the first 12 weeks of the season, St. Brown is up to 8.7 receptions for 83 yards per game with two touchdowns in the last three. And he's coming for more.

"He’s a stud," said Jared Goff. "He’s a stud. I’ll say it again, he’s a stud. He’s a stud. We’ve known it since training camp. Finally getting him involved quite a bit now. I thought the route on the touchdown was just so perfect. It’s such a unique route that only some guys can run, and you have to have a good feel for the space and the game. He has all of that.

"He’s really starting to learn. He’s really starting to pick it up and understand coverage and where the holes are. It’s really fun to play with him.”

For St. Brown, another big day was satisfying. But it was the final score that left him smiling.

"Having a game like that and coming out with a big win against a good team definitely feels better than having stats and losing," he said. "It’s nice to have catches and what not, but I think the biggest thing for our team was that win against a really good Cardinals team."
