Memphis wins AAC Championship earning #5 NCAA seed

West Region 1st Round game for #5 Memphis taking on #12 Colorado State Friday in Seattle

The Memphis Tigers clinched the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship today with an 84-72 victory over the UAB Blazers. Dain Dainja led Memphis with a double-double, recording 22 points and 12 rebounds, while P.J. Haggerty added a team-high 23 points. Colby Rogers also contributed 15 points to the win. The Tigers shot 47.1% from the field and 46.2% from three-point range.

PJ Haggerty was selected as the American Conference Tournament Outstanding Player.

Memphis has secured a No. 5 seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament and is set to face No. 12 seed Colorado State in the West Region. The game is scheduled for Friday, March 21, in Seattle.
