Though the Joel Embiid-less 76ers took the Bucks into overtime on Wednesday in an impressive effort, Philadelphia was outscored 16-12 in the final period of play and ultimately lost a tough one. The final score was 109-105 in favor of Milwaukee, and that's the bottom line, because Giannis Antetokounmpo said so.
Not a wrestling fan? That whole "bottom line" business was a reference to Stone Cold Steve Austin, the legendary WWF/WWE superstar who captured fans' hearts through his ring presence, tough-guy charisma and iconic way with words.
But it wasn't Giannis who was making the Stone Cold references on Wednesday night. Sure, he may have been as dominant on the court as Austin was in the ring, finishing with 32 points (10 of which came in overtime), 15 rebounds and five assists.
As the image above shows, Giannis sat down on the court at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia after his overtime run. The Greek Freak was asked about his decision to sit on the court, and he responded with a question: "Is there something wrong with having fun?"
But most Sixers fans probably didn't have too much fun watching it, and it was a 76ers player's reaction to Giannis sitting down on the 76ers' hardwood that brought out the Stone Cold Steve Austin in all of us. What better man for the job than the trash-talking, physically imposing, 6-foot-10, 265-pound big man Dwight Howard?
If only we could see the 6-foot-10 Howard and the 6-foot-11 Antetokounmpo in a wrestling ring together. And we think the Stone Cold Stunner might be a solid move to get the job done, seeing as it worked on the 7-foot behemoth known as the Big Show, among countless other WWE stars.
Considering Howard is tied for second in the league with nine technical fouls this year and the Sixers are already down their center, however, it was probably for the best that he didn't act on that urge.
