The Kansas Jayhawks are set to begin their NCAA Tournament run Friday night, facing Cal Baptist Lancers in the first round of March Madness.

Kansas enters the tournament as a No. 4 seed, while Cal Baptist comes in as a No. 13 seed after winning the WAC Tournament and earning its first-ever Division I NCAA Tournament berth.

The game will be played in San Diego, not far from Cal Baptist’s campus, giving the Lancers a potential geographic advantage despite being the underdog.

Tipoff is scheduled for Friday night, with the matchup airing on CBS as both teams look to advance to the second round.

Cal Baptist brings momentum into the tournament after a strong season and conference title run, while Kansas aims to avoid an early upset and make a deeper push in the bracket.
