
Good performances from Corey Washington and Bijan Cortes, and the Wichita State Men's Basketball team moves on in the AAC Tournament with a 73-68 win over South Florida. Washington scored a game-high 21 to go with nine rebounds on 8-of-16 shooting and a season-best 4-of-6 from three-point range. Cortes recorded a career-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He also dished out seven assists and finished with zero turnovers.
Not known for its three-point shooting, Wichita State knocked down nine three-pointers, tied for second most in a game this season. Wichita State advances to Friday’s quarterfinals where they will face top-seeded Memphis at noon.
