After a strike by ECHL players postponed a weekend's pair of scheduled Wichita Thunder games and other games around the league, the ECHL has announced a tentative agreement for play to resume. On Saturday night the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association announced the deal, with no specifics on the deal being made available to the public.
The agreement still needs to ratified by the PHPA members in the ECHL and then approved by the ECHL Board of Governors. But once approved players will report and prepare to return to the ICE. There was no announcement on when scheduled games would be resumed. The Wichita Thunder are scheduled to return to action Wednesday night at INTRUST Bank Arena.
