On Thursday night, the Wichita school board decided that given the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, grades 6-12 will entirely engage in remote learning when the school year begins after Labor Day.
In-school activities are nixed, meaning no fall athletics and no City League football. The board considers sports, choir, band, and other school gatherings as high-risk activities at this time.
