Next season, Ricky Council IV will most likely play collegiate basketball somewhere else. On Thursday, Council revealed on his social media pages that he intended to apply for a move to the NCAA transfer portal.

Council's loss is a setback for a Wichita State school that had hoped to re-sign the rising star for a third season with the Shockers. After averaging 12.0 points and 5.4 rebounds while coming off the bench in 21 of 28 appearances and playing 26.6 minutes per game this past season, WSU head coach Isaac Brown frequently stated that he believed Council had AAC Player of the Year potential.
Also on Thursday, Tyson Etienne made it official on his social media sites that he will enter the NBA Draft in 2022.
