Audacy had a chance to attend Love On Tour this weekend at New York City's Madison Square Garden and Harry Styles did not disappoint.
The show felt like an out-of-body experience, and it's hard to believe we were even really there.
Let's start off by saying, before anything else, that the guys and gals did NOT come to play with their outfits. The fans looked incredible, and we'll be finding feathers in our hair for the next week and a half from all of the boas.
Hello, MSG
We've been to A LOT of concerts before and we have to say, the screams in the room when Harry took the stage were truly unmatched.
G O L D E N
Harry opened the show with "Golden," and that's exactly how we'd describe the performance.
Challenge Accepted
"For the next 90 minutes, our job is to entertain you, we promise we will do our absolute very best. Your job for the next 90 minutes is to have as much fun as you possibly, possibly can… Please feel free to be whoever it is you always wanted to be tonight. I challenge you to have as much fun as I'm gonna have. Let's go!" "Adore You" was next, and Harry was just getting started! You could feel the energy building in the arena as he kicked off the show.
😘😍😘😍😘😍😘😍😘
Harry showed love to the crowd the entire show, blowing kisses and sharing how much he appreciated all of us being there. What's better than kisses from Harry Styles?! Nothing.
Promises, promises...
"As you can see, tonight's show will be on a round stage all night, which means three things. Number one, I will be very tired and that's fine. Number two, some of the time I will be facing you, and you'll be looking at my face. Number three, some of the time I will be facing away from you and you'll be looking at my ass, baby!" (Cue blood-curdling screams)
Audience Participation
One of the best parts of the show was when Harry performed "Falling." We had chills from head to toe as he belted out the ballad surrounded by thousands of lights held up by the fans.
'Sunflower, Vol 6'
A personal favorite of ours was next on the setlist, "Sunflower, Vol 6." Harry skipped around the stage throwing sunflowers into the crowd after a fan had given him a bouquet prior, and it felt like we were living in a dream.
Best. Birthday. EVER.
Harry kindly took time during the show to notice a fan's sign. He proceeded to have the entire arena sing "Happy Birthday" to a very special fan named Alyssa. Best birthday ever!
'Treat People With Kindness'
"The first time I played Madison Square Garden was December 3rd, 2012 and it was always a pleasure, and there are a lot of women in the room tonight that have supported me over the years and I would like to say thank you." "Treat People With Kindness" brought everyone together, literally! The fans formed a conga line and start dancing around the pit together, and it was adorable. This song live slaps so hard!
'What Makes You Beautiful'
We have to say, seeing "What Makes You Beautiful" performed live in 2021 was pure magic. It's hard to find words to describe exactly how we were feeling in that moment, but the nostalgia of it all was certainly a treat.
Dusty in here...
"Fine Line" brought out all of our emotions, and we're totally fine with it. We're not crying, you're crying.
'Sign of the Times'
Believe it or not, "Sign of the Times" is even more powerful live and in person.
"Are you ready to take it home, New York!?"
"Kiwi" was the final song of the night, and with good reason! The energy during this song was electric, and Harry gave the crowd everything he had left (including the last of his water which he playfully poured all over some of his lucky fans!) This performance alone may have changed our lives forever, and in the best way.
We'll never be the same after seeing Love On Tour and we'll probably tell our children about this show someday. Thanks for everything, Mr. Styles!
