98.5 KLUC Cricket Wireless, Port of Subs, and Raising Canes Chicken Fingers have teamed up with NPHY to Donate to TOOLS 4 SCHOOLS! Benefiting Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY). We need the community’s support with donations of backpacks, school supplies and dollars! With distance learning technology being the focus this year, our students are in need now more than ever. We’ve teamed up to collect and distribute various items to help our students who are experiencing homelessness so that they will be ready for the new school year. From August 3rd – August 23rd, you can make your contactless donation online with proceeds going directly to NPHY. We are also collecting school supplies, technology devices and other items at our Drop-In Center to assist our homeless youth in the challenges faced for this year’s educational growth and development.

As the school year approaches, there is a lot of uncertainty looming over what distance learning means for youth who are without the technology or resources to be successful in this new learning environment. We anticipate that many youth experiencing homelessness will be affected by food insecurity without the reliable meals they receive at school, along with needing new technology and school supplies to help them get through the 2020 – 2021 school year. Contactless Drop Off School Supply Donations:
School supplies, add an extra backpack, binder or pack of pencils for a youth experiencing homelessness. You can make a contactless donation of school supplies at NPHY’s Drop-In Center Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. NPHY’s Drop-In Center is located at 4981 Shirley Street, NV 89119. Your donation can be placed in the black bin located in front of NPHY’s Drop-In Center or you can wait for an NPHY staff member to take your donation.
