Adele got starstruck over the weekend as she walked the crowd during a portion of her show at The Colosseum Theatre at Caesars Palace.

The 36-year-old can be seen bursting into tears as she spots Celine Dion amongst the crowd, makes her way over, and clears a barrier for a big embrace. Dion welcomed Adele into her arms with a kiss on the head and then proceeded to dab her own eyes with a tissue.
“Give it up for Miss Celine Dion,” Adele said into her microphone as the crowd roared.
Adele’s reaction to the Canadian songstress should be a surprise to no one as she’s made very clear before how much she admires Dion both personally and professionally. Adele has even taken the term “fangirl” to a whole new level after becoming the proud owner of a piece of gum chewed by Dion.
She revealed the wad of gum was among her “proudest possessions” during a previous interview with Vogue, sharing it is framed on a wall in her home. “James Corden — who’s a friend of mine but also does Carpool Karaoke, which I did — he did it with her and knew how much of a fan of her I was,” Adele shared. “And so he made her spit her gum into a piece of paper and he framed it for me, and it’s my proudest possession!”
Moments like having Celine at her show over the weekend are extra emotional for Adele these days as she prepares to step away from the spotlight following the conclusion of her Las Vegas Residency in November.
With only a handful of dates left, Adele says she plans to step away for “an incredibly long time” to focus on other creative ventures.
The news might come as a shock to many as Adele still has the ability to pack venues of 75,000+, but those who keep up with the star regularly definitely saw it coming. Back in July, the singer revealed in an interview with ZDF she had plans to take a “big break” from music.
“I don’t have any plans for new music at all,” she revealed. “I want a big break after this [Las Vegas Residency] and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while. I don’t like being famous. I love that I get to make music all the time.”
What exactly those “other creative things,” are? We don’t know yet, but perhaps she’s also looking forward to putting some more focus on her personal life now as she also announced at an earlier show in Munich, that she is engaged to longtime boyfriend, Rich Paul.
