The on-again, off-again rollercoaster that is Cardi B and Offset’s relationship, seems to once again be off as Cardi filed for divorce from her estranged husband, but still friend.

According to Page Six, the divorce filings were confirmed by Cardi’s rep, who remained sparse with additional details, aside from sharing Cardi will be seeking primary custody of their children, additionally noting that this time she would not be “folding.”
Page Six also claimed that “a source familiar with the situation” expressed that the latest rumors Offset cheated were not the final straw for Cardi. Rather that “they’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the insider claimed, according to the outlet. “This is something she wants to do.”
Months ahead of these latest reports, Cardi opened up to Rolling Stone about her relationship with Offset, discussing the couple’s challenges and status as best she could.
Admitting that while the love is still there, currently their relationship is giving less of a connection between married partners, and more of a bond between best friends. As well as acknowledging she and Offset have to work on many of their issues before giving marriage another shot.

To make matters even more complicated, hours after filing for divorce, Cardi announced that she’s pregnant and expecting her third child. Sharing two glamorous photos of her baby bump on IG, Cardi captioned the post with a lengthy message.
