Lauren Hashian is an R&B singer/songwriter you need to know about, and yes she happens to be married to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Hashian’s latest release, “What You Want (DeJa Vu)," is serving all the right vibes. The “nostalgic R&B tune, with a throwback vibe, paying homage to the fun, feminine, soulful energy of the 90s,” is an homage to the era that shaped the singer’s style and taste.
The new single is also a glimpse into Hashian’s upcoming EP, Love… And Other Things (Side A). The full three-track project will arrive Friday December 10.
“What You Want” is a collaboration between Hashian and rising rap artist, Naz Tokio. The new track follows Lauren’s 2020 release, “Ride the Wave.”
In her Instagram announcement about the arrival of “What You Want,” Hashian explained, “Feeling like it was time for some exhaaaale music ✨🎶 We hope you guys kick back, relax your feet and enjooooy 💕💕💕💕”
She added, “Paying tribute to the era of 90’s R&B music that was mine and our biggest inspiration.. And STILL is!! influencing our whole life, path and purpose 🙏🏼 This music is a real love letter to the artists and producers who inspired us and encouraged us…”
