Lambert coordinated one of the most talked-about moments from the 3-hour broadcast when she brought out Pop/Punk sensation, Avril Lavigne, for one-of-a-kind collaboration.
The pair rocked out with hot pink and black coordinating outfits that showed off their own personal styles as they took Nashville’s jam-packed Nissan Stadium back to the early 2000s. Their collaboration included a joint performance of both Lambert’s “Kerosene” (2005) and Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi” (2002).
Lavigne wasn’t the only surprise guest Lambert performed with at the 50th Anniversary spectacular. She also shared the stage with fellow Texas-native and R&B singer, Leon Bridges for their song, “If You Were Mine,” as well as Elle King for their hit, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).”
Miss the broadcast? It’s not too late to catch all the fun! CMA Fest’s 50th Anniversary show and documentary are both streaming now, available via Hulu.
