It looks like the renovation of the Las Vegas Raiders offensive line is not quite complete.

Reports say the team will release Pro Bowl center Rodney Hudson. Hudson was entering the third-year of a three-year, $33.75M contract extension he signed in 2019, making him the highest paid player at the center spot. He joined the Raiders as a free agent in 2015.

Hudson was set to make $13.6M this season, but by being released before June 1, will be valued at $15.6M in dead money against the cap.

Pro Football Focus says since he put on the Silver and Black uniform, Hudson's pass blocking ranks him as the standard bearer at his position.

Hudson becomes the fourth starter from the 2020 squad to cut ties with the Raiders, including RT Trent Brown (traded to NE), RG Gabe Jackson and LG Richie Incognito.
