Of the 16 songs set to be on the album, Shakira has already released seven singles including “Te Felicito,” “Monotonía,” “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” “TQG,” “Acróstico,” “Copa Vacía,” and "El Jefe.”
“Making this body of work has been an alchemical process,” Shakira said in her caption announcing the album. “While writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.”
To name her album, Shakira was inspired by some lyrics from her empowering Bizarrap session track “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” in which she declares, “las mujeres ya no llora, las mujeres facturan,” loosely translating to, “women don’t cry anymore, they make money.” Which she contrastingly artistically depicts in one of the 4 album cover art options, photographed by Jaume de Laiguana, seen in the post above.
