There was no greater feeling as a kid than going to Blockbuster on a Friday night.

Walking up and down the aisles with hundreds of videotapes at your disposal, trying to make sure to select the right movie or video game to enjoy over the weekend.  We miss it.

Sadly, Blockbuster closed its doors in 2014 after being unable to compete with a DVD rental service called Netflix that was about to launch a streaming platform.  Whatever happened to them?

However, fans of the company are hoping for a comeback because for some reason, Blockbuster’s website is live again!

Of course, ‘80s and ’90s babies are absolutely losing their minds at the prospect of Blockbuster making a comeback.

As of 2023, there is only one remaining Blockbuster store active in the United States, in Bend, Oregon that proudly markets itself as “the last Blockbuster.”
