Target and Starbucks have joined retail outlets Walmart, Sam's, and Costco amongst others who have ended their mask requirements in-store for fully vaccinated customers.

The change comes on the heels of the CDC announcing that fully vaccinated people no longer have to wear masks while indoors.

Walmart, Costco, Trader Joe’s and Publix were among the first stores to allow customers to shop without wearing a mask, though Home Depot, Gap and Ulta Beauty are among those that say they would continue to monitor developments, but would maintain their pandemic precautions.

According to CNBC, Target said employees who are also fully vaccinated will not have to wear masks, though they will continue other safety measures, such as extra cleaning and social distancing in its stores.
