Houston commuters faced delays on Wednesday due to animals in the road. In one incident, a loose cow was strolling down Interstate 10 causing back-ups. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez Tweeted about the livestock.

The bovine had escaped from a nearby farm and was returned safely to her owners. In a completely separate event, a wild alligator escaped and waddled onto the shoulder of a bridge. Texas Parks and Wildlife workers were able to safely capture the gator and release him into nearby fresh water.
