Kevin Bacon can still cut a rug.
If you haven’t heard of the viral social media trend, “Footloose” Drop, Bacon apparently has, and this week he tried his hand, or foot, at the dance move craze that's cribbed from his classic 1984 teen rebellion flick, “Footloose.”
As People explained, the trend involves one person holding another by their arm and leg before roll-dropping them to the beat – with Kenny Loggins’ classic “Footloose” title theme playing in the background of course.
With his wife Kyra Sedgwick, 54, as his dance partner, the two tried the tricky move. Considering Bacon is 40 years older than the 22-year-old who originally busted all those moves in the 1984 film, half the fun of watching the quick clip is seeing if they’ll actually pull it off.
As the song plays, the couple -- who married four years after "Footloose" came out -- strut into the frame snapping fingers and smiling. Bacon picks up Sedgwick, and, well, see for yourself here. Let’s just say the two end with a triumphant high-five.
Bacon’s jokingly captioned the post: "I don't remember this being part of the original #Footloose choreography, but figured we'd give it a spin." Yeah, he would know.
Loads of fans dropped in with their amazed comments.
“Inspiration right here,” said one fan. “You guys are the cutest!!” added another. “Totally nailed it.”
Even daughter Sosie, 30, had to jump into the comments: “I GET ITTTT”
