Melania Trump’s film to premiere at the Kennedy Center Jan. 29

First Lady Melania Trump has been teasing the Jan. 30 release of her documentary “MELANIA” on social media since at least Dec. 27. However, the film is first set to premiere Jan. 29 at events across the country, including at the newly renamed Trump-Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

An exclusive from Fox News Digital revealed the news. It said Trump and the first lady will attend the D.C. premiere, and that Amazon executives would be at the premieres.

Since it was announced late last year that the former Kennedy Center – named after former President John F. Kennedy – to the Trump-Kennedy center for the current president’s work to restore the building, there has been some pushback. For example, Audacy reported on the center demanding $1 million from a musician who canceled a show there due to the change.

When Deadline reported on Melania’s film project last year, it said that “Amazon making a deal for the Trump doc is no surprise, given support shown to the former and future POTUS by the tech giant’s founder, Jeff Bezos.”

In addition to that event, Fox News Digital said premiere events will be held in: New York; Phoenix; Salt Lake City; Chicago; Miami; San Diego; Nashville, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; Orange County, Calif/; San Francisco/Palo Alto; Minneapolis; Philadelphia; Denver; Detroit; Kansas City, Mo.; Boston; Austin, Texas; Houston; Las Vegas; Dallas; and Los Angeles. Then, the film is scheduled to open in theaters across the globe, including North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Israel, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and more.

AmazonMGMStudios shared a trailer for the film on Dec. 17.

“Everyone wants to know,” Melania can be heard saying in the trailer. “So, here it is.

Melania mostly avoided the spotlight during Trump’s most recent presidential campaign, and has at times been seen as mysterious. During his second term, she has made headlines for backing a revenge porn bill that passed in Congress and for her efforts to help children displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She released a book, “Melania” in 2024 that became a New York Times Bestseller.

“MELANIA” the film was directed by Brett Ratner, who also directed “Rush Hour” and “Red Dragon” and was executive producer of “Prison Break.” Melania executive produced with Fernando Sulichin, an Argentine producer who has worked on projects related to former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, Jr.

According to CBS News, “MELANIA” was expected to be the first directing project from Ratner since he was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women, including actor Olivia Munn. While his lawyer has denied the allegations, Warner Bros. reportedly cut ties with Ratner following the allegations.
