Crimestoppers: We know someone knows something about recent children killings

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Sunday is the deadline for tips to come in to get the $25,000 reward in any one of four recent child murders.

Crimestoppers Executive Director Lisa Pisciotta says some tips are coming in, but they need more.

"I know that somebody out there feels they need to talk, and if they talk to us, they can be assured that we're not going to tell anybody who they are, because we don't know." Pisciotta told KMOX's Kevin Killeen. "It's weighing on somebody and somebody's gotta call."

Pisciotta says payments are made in cash, so there's never a paper trail to tie tipsters to the money. When it comes time to give out the reward money, they're given a code number for followup. All payments are made in cash by a drop system, so no one ever meets you or sees your face.

The reward is offered for information on the August 23rd shooting death of of 8-year old Jurnee Thompson near Soldan High, the July 19th killing of ten-year old Eddie Hill in the 4700 block of Page, the June 9th shooting death of three-year old Kennedi Powell in the 4600 block of Michigan, and the April 30th killing of 2-year old Kayden Johnson in the 5900 block of Ferris Avenue.

The Crimestoppers number is 1-866-371-TIPS (8477).
