ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis County Police has released more information on the funeral and procession of Detective Antonio Valentine who was killed in the line of duty last week.

The 42-year-old Army veteran of Iraq and recently retired member of the Air Force Reserve had been with the St. Louis County Police Department since 2007. He'll be buried with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County.
Police want the public to be aware of some highway and road closures during the procession Friday morning. Funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis and is expected to end at 10 a.m. The procession to Jefferson Barracks will begin immediately after.
The procession will leave the Cathedral Basilica and travel West on Lindell to Kingshighway. The procession will make a left on Kingshighway and continue to Interstate 64/40. The procession will travel West on Interstate 64/40 to Interstate 270 South (changes to Interstate 255 at Interstate 55). The procession will exit and make a left at Telegraph Road and travel to Sheridan Road. A right turn will be made on Sheridan and the procession will travel to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
All traffic will be closed along the route during the procession:

Authorities are encouraging the public to safely line the streets and gather on highway overpasses along the route to pay respects.
