St. Louis County man shot, killed over grass clippings dispute

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) - A father in north St. Louis County was shot and killed outside his home Sunday after a dispute over grass clippings. Part of the incident was caught on camera.

The St. Louis County Police Department responded to a call at 11:10 a.m. in the Glasgow Village neighborhood for the shooting. Allen Waller, 29, was found dead at the scene.

According to reports, he was killed over a long-standing dispute with the people who mow his neighbor's lawn. A Ring video camera shows the neighbor walking up to Waller's home with two males, he asks them, “Did you cut the grass?”

Then they all walk to the side of the house, where Waller's fiancée says was a pile of lawn clippings left by the suspects. A third man with a gun then walks to the side of the house and shots are heard being fired.

“He died with a smile on his face,” Waller's fiancée told Fox2. “I was there with my daughter when they shot him.”

Police say the incident is under investigation.

A GoFundMe account has been setup to help Waller's family.
