
Long Beach police Monday were seeking witnesses to a crash that killed a man trying to cross Pacific Coast Highway.
The victim was struck by a westbound vehicle about 6:35 p.m. Sunday as he was crossing PCH west of Golden Avenue, according to Long Beach police.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
The driver remained on-scene and cooperated with the investigation.
According to police, speed, distracted driving and impaired driving are not suspected as factors in the fatality.
