Eco friendly Gift Wrapping ideas
Gift Wrapping

1. Have you heard of the Japanese tradition of furoshiki fabric wraps. It is using fabric as the wrapping paper for a gift. These fabric squares are made from machine washable 100% cotton (though other fabric could be used) which can be reused in a wide variety of ways. Your gift recipients can either re-gift their fabric, hang it in their home or office as wall art, use it as a face mask or grocery bag, style it as a scarf, and more.

2. You know that fusty “antique” (ie junk) shop that every town has a few of? This place is great for affordable and sustainable gift wrap ideas. You just have to have an eye for what will translate into a chic present presentation. When you’re there, look for: scarves, Tea or kitchen towels, vintage cards, and jars and cookie tins. Again the theme here is that all these items can be reused by the recipient or they can regift to another person.

3. Gift bags is always an option because you can reuse those as well. They are also making “reusable” gift bags now.

4. Reusable grocery bags can also be used as gift bags.
