DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The cleanup is underway all across Dallas and other surrounding communities after a powerful thunderstorm raced across the area on Sunday.
Thousands of customers are still without power on Monday, with oncor officials saying it could be several more hours till power is restored to some areas.
Trees are down everywhere. "It's the kind of damage you'd see from a tropical storm/small tornado" said Jen Meyers with Oncor electric service.
An estimated 250,000 customers were still affected.
Traffic is also an issue with hundreds of stop lights being out due to the power issues. Some intersections and roadways even have debris and trees blocking lanes of traffic.
Please treat all intersections without working lights as 4-way stops. Give yourself plenty of time today. @krldtraffic pic.twitter.com/5antBM3FU3
