WAXAHACHIE (1080 KRLD) - Fire crews are rushing to stop a fire at a scrap metal recycling plant in Waxahachie.

The fire broke out a little after 4:00 a.m. at the Oak Cliff Metal recycling facility.

The Waxahachie fire chief says there is no water hydrant on the property so crews are bringing in water tankers.

Several other fire departments have been called in to help.

Amy Hollywood with Waxahachie Fire Department says there is no new information at this time, but she says it's a big job and all hands are on deck.

She expects crews will be working for quite a while.
