    Maria Keena

    Maria Keena

Maria Keena joined KMOX in October of 2007. She served as co-host of Total Information AM Saturdays and Sundays and weekday reporter. Later she was the TIAM news editor and traffic co-anchor for morning and afternoon drive times.

Maria was born and raised in St. Louis and her broadcasting career began in 1989 at KXOK, where she was an anchor, reporter and host of a consumer electronics show.

Her career then took her to the legendary WEW, where she started as a weekend announcer and eventually assumed the position of Program Director.

In 1998, Maria became the General Manager of KZJZ 1380 AM, where the station won a National Marconi Award for best jazz station in the country.

In 2000, she joined Westwood One’s Metro Networks as a reporter and was assigned to different stations in the market. Then exclusively to KMOX as a traffic reporter.

In 2001, Maria became bureau chief, and in 2003, was promoted to Director of Operations for St. Louis.

In 2005, Maria made the change from radio to TV. For nearly two years, she was a writer/field producer for KTVI Channel 2. Maria has the 17-piece Big Band the Knights of Swing -- an organization committed to preserving the heritage of jazz music.

She loves to cook --, bake --, and garden--, and she loves cleaning the house! So much dog hair...so little time.
