No, Cowboys fans, Bill Belichick will not be walking through the doors at Cowboys headquarters at The Star.
According to 105.3 The Fan's Bryan Broaddus, Belichick has no interest in becoming the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys after the organization mutually parted ways with Mike McCarthy after five seasons on Monday.
"I called out to North Carolina and asked (North Carolina GM) Michael Lombardi, 'Does this change anything that you guys are thinking about with the Cowboys opening?' And he responded by saying, 'Not at all.' "So I would eliminate what's going on out there with Bill Belichick coming back (to the NFL)."
So, if not Belichick, who could the Cowboys be targeting?
Broaddus named former Cowboys tight end Jason Witten and embattled former NFL head coach Jon Gruden as potential candidates but doesn't see Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator Ben Johnson being a good fit in Dallas.
