Jerry Jones on Cowboys blowout loss to Saints: “Extraordinarily disappointing"

The Dallas Cowboys were thumped by the New Orleans Saints, 44-19, on Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium.

The score was surprising to say the least, considering that Dallas was a 6.5-point favorite. After the game, the word 'disappointed' was tossed around by Cowboys' brass.

“Extraordinarily disappointing. Extraordinarily disappointed for our fans. We will correct this. We will improve from how we played out there today," Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said after the game.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy echoed that sentiment, saying he was "very disappointed by today's result."

Despite the loss, the Cowboys, including Jones and quarterback Dak Prescott, were poised in their postgame remarks, saying there's a long way to go in the season.

“We’re gonna learn from it. That was a good team. Gotta give them credit. This is the NFL. … It’s about trusting the process and responding. I know we have the guys to do that. Honestly, excited to get back to work and turn this page," said Prescott.

The Cowboys will welcome another team who has to be disappointed by their performance in the early going of the season - the Baltimore Ravens - who dropped to 0-2 after losing at home to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
