Rangers activate Nathan Eovaldi and Wyatt Langford, Evan Carter to IL

Tuesday didn't bring all good news for the Texas Rangers, but it did bring more good than bad news.

The Rangers are activating starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi and outfielder Wyatt Langford from the injured list ahead of their series opener against the Diamondbacks. Eovaldi will start and Langford will handle designated hitter duties, 105.3 The Fan's Jared Sandler says.

Eovaldi will be making his appearance since he was forced to leave his May 2 start against the Washington Nationals due to a strained groin. Langford landed on the injured list May 6 with a strained hamstring.

Outfielder Evan Carter has been placed on the injured list with back tightness and reliever Yerry Rodriguez has been optioned back to Triple-A Rock Rock to make room for them on the active roster.
