Calhoun's agreement comes less than an hour after the Rangers made a big splash in free agency, signing All-Star second baseman Marcus Semien to a seven-year, $175 million deal.

Calhoun, who was limited to just 51 games last season due to hamstring issues, hit .235/.297/.373 with five home runs and 17 RBI last season with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The right fielder should compete for a starting spot in spring training.

Calhoun's best season came with the Angels in 2019 when he slugged a career-high 33 home runs and 74 RBI.
