Why a Deion & Shedeur Sanders package deal is unrealistic for the Dallas Cowboys

The Deion Sanders noise is getting louder...

WFAA's Ed Werder reported on Thursday that Deion Sanders "would almost certainly accept" the head coaching job with the Dallas Cowboys if Jerry Jones offered him the position, and Jones is "enamored with the idea."

Sanders has previously stated that he would never coach in the NFL. Sometime later he said he would only coach in the NFL if he were coaching one of his two sons, leading several national sports shows to speculate about the Cowboys needing to trade up to acquire Sanders' son, quarterback prospect Shedeur Sanders.

What some of those shows aren't telling you, however, is how unrealistic it would be for the Cowboys to move Dak Prescott due to his no-trade clause and the $104 million salary cap hit they'd absorb if he were traded.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that Sanders "would go to Dallas and be thrilled to coach Dak Prescott." So it appears that Sanders is warming up to the idea of coming to the NFL without the assurance that one of his sons would be on the team.
