This week, the spotlight is on John Liddle!

John Liddle always knew he wanted to be in radio.

Growing up in Lewisville, John was obsessed with sports. His childhood was narrated by Eric Nadel, Brad Sham, Craig Way and other KRLD greats. John's 20-year career in radio started at KNTU-FM at the University of North Texas, where he was the sports director, and learned the play-by-play craft under another KRLD legend, Bill Mercer.

John worked for KRLD from 2005-2008 before moving on to become the Sports Director for KWEY in Weatherford, Oklahoma until 2016.
When his family moved back to Dallas, John soon caught on with KRLD again, this time as a traffic anchor. He had the privilege of moving to the newsroom in late 2018, and caught on quickly as a news anchor.

In his spare time, John is a go-to play-by-play voice. His assignments include SMU, North Texas, Tarleton State, and the Southland Conference.

John also has a passion for singing. He has performed the National Anthem for various local teams, including the Rangers, Mavericks, Stars, and Panther City Lacrosse.

He is father to three wonderful girls: Allison, Braelyn and Gwendolyn.

John is a five-time recipient of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters' Small Market Play-by-Play award and three-time OAB honoree for Best Small Market Commercial and winner of OAB Best Small Market Sportscast.
