Entire Alvarado HS band quarantined due to trio of COVID-19 cases

ALVARADO (1080 KRLD) - As the Alvarado Indians take the field tomorrow night, a key traditional element will be missing.

The band will not be there.

"This morning, we found out that we had a third positive case in the band," says Alvarado ISD spokesman Tommy Brown; "and out of an abundance of caution and after consulting with our local health officials, the decision was made to quarantine all of the high school band members."

Those band members will be quarantined through next Saturday, October 24.

They will attend classes virtually on Friday and all week next week.

Friday night's game was slated to be Alvarado's homecoming game.

While that game will go on, the homecoming celebration is being moved to later in the season.
