Fort Worth church destroyed by early morning fire
By Curt Lewis Mar 22, 2021
A Fort Worth church was destroyed by fire over the weekend, but no one was hurt.
Fort Worth Firefighter Kyle Clay says the flames broke out Sunday morning in El Buen Samaritano (The Good Samaritan) United Methodist Church in the Fort Worth Poly neighborhood.
During the hour it took to douse the fire, smoke and flames were seen exploding out the windows at times.
The fire had such a head start that commanders feared the roof would collapse so all firefighters were ordered to battle the flames from the outside.
