National Weather Service says tornado near Blum was EF-2

Crews from the National Weather Service have been out surveying the damage from last night's severe storms and have determined it was an EF - 2 that touched down northwest of Blum in far northwestern Hill County.

According to NWS officials, the twister had 130 mile an hour winds.

Today crews are also checking out the location near Waxahachie, as well as in Bosque County.

Meanwhile, some of the largest hail was reported in the Johnson County town of Rio Vista, with stones up to baseball-size.
