Houston Congressman Dan Crenshaw is already drawing a lot of possible challengers to his re-election next year. There are now 13 names filed to run, but only 3 names have to be taken seriously.
The 2nd district in Texas has seen candidate statements from Jean-Luc Picard (from Star Trek), as well as Wayne Campbell from Wayne's World. He's running on the Green Party platform.
There are also a half dozen characters from Spongebob Squarepants on the list, including Spongebob, Patrick Star and Squidward Tentacles.
Plus, someone also filed a candidate statement under the name of Kurt Cobain.
