Get ready for another bumpy day today. Numerous thunderstorms are starting to form about 300 miles to our west. Radar will continue to light up between Abilene and Lubbock over the next few hours. These storms will make a beeline for north Texas this afternoon. Hail and flash flooding will once again be a concern. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect today just east of DFW.
Temperatures will remain cool today and tomorrow, a good 20ﾟ below average, highs only near 60ﾟ
Once we get this next disturbance to our east by tonight, subsidence or sinking air will take place, allowing for some drier air to sneak in from the central plains states. This will scour away any severe weather threat for tomorrow.
It'll be chilly to start tomorrow morning off, with low temperatures in the upper forties to low fifties! Bundle up!
Tomorrow we'll stay cloudy, breezy and cool, with a few leftover showers. Afternoon highs will struggle to hit 60ﾟ once again.
You want some sunshine? Boy I sure do. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until Thursday afternoon, as it makes a brief reappearance.
Don't worry, even more sunshine will follow you around Friday through Sunday as temperatures warm back into the eighties this weekend.
Please keep in mind, it is the middle of May and severe weather may be back in our forecast late Sunday and especially into early next week.
Please stay weather aware this afternoon and again early next week!
