Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker Drop Another Piece of Pop Punk Perfection

The duo's track features an animated lyric video

Machine Gun Kelly continues his sonic exploration into punk arts, collaborating with Travis Barker for the latest single “Concert for Aliens.” The pop-punk track is accompanied by an animated lyric video that sees the duo chased by extraterrestrials, leading to an intergalactic joy ride on another planet.

In a scene that could only be conjured from a classic Scooby Doo remake, MGK and Travis flea their alien captors with the help of quick cut editing and a roller coaster. The aliens finally capture the pair and use their talents for a mosh pit performance. Note, not one alien was wearing a face mask.

The track provides a healthy mix of Kelly’s signature eclectic sound and Barker’s harsh, rebellious chords to create something altogether original and fun.

Kelly began this week teasing the release of two new songs expected to be featured on his upcoming album, Tickets To My Downfall. The artist also revealed he and Barker recorded “Concert for Aliens” last month in preparation for the new album. No word yet on a release for the work.

The pop-punk rapper has made music headlines in 2020 both for music, and his personal life. After the release of his “Bloody Valentine” music video, rumors were flying, then confirmed, about a relationship with the video’s star Megan Fox.

During a recent interview with RADIO.COM’s Kevan Kenney, Barker revealed news on Blink-182’s long-awaited new EP. He says the band’s latest effort will “be out by the end of summer.”
