The three Aurora police officers who were fired for posting photos reenacting the choke-hold that contributed to Elijah McClain's death will not get their jobs back. The Aurora Civil Service Commission has determined that the firing of Officers Erica Marrero, Kyle Dittrich and Jason Rosenblatt were justified. The three officers took photos near the location where Elijah was detained and put in a choke-hold by police in August of 2019. The Aurora Police Chief Vanessa posted the following tweet about the Civil Service Commission's decision:
