During a press conference on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Colorado Governor Jared Polis announced the Colorado Comeback Cash program. All Colorado residents 18 and older who have received at least one shot of the vaccine will be entered into the random drawing. Younger residents 12-17 will be entered into a random drawing for a scholarship: details will be announced later in the week.
If you have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, you will be automatically entered into the random drawing which will be conducted by the Colorado State Lottery.
To be eligible for the first drawing on June 4, 2021, residents must have received at least one dose by June 1, 2021. The other drawings for the million dollar prize will be on June 11, 18, 25, and July 7. The last day to qualify for the giveaway is June 30, 2021.
So what's the catch? You will have to make your identity known to the public if you are a winner. None of your medical information will be shared, but you will not be able to remain anonymous. Also, you can only win once and the winnings will be taxable as income.
