Hours after Governor Gaven Newsom announced a curfew 2 Northern California Sheriffs announced that they will not be implementing the curfew.
The new stay-at-home order stops non-essential travel from 10pm-5am until 12/21/2020
Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones issued a statement:
“The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office will not be determining—including entering any home or business—compliance with, or enforcing compliance of, any health or emergency orders related to curfews, staying at home, Thanksgiving or other social gatherings inside or outside the home, maximum occupancy, or mask mandates,” says no officers will be dispatched for breaking the health orders. Callers will be advised to call 311 and be routed to County Health.
