Before wrapping up life on the road, Cordae sat down with Audacy’s Rosa during the Denver tour stop. In the interview, Cordae briefly discusses music, touring, studio sessions, and collaborating with H.E.R. “I feel good. I’m just taking it in day by day. Being more present in the moment and taking everything for what it’s worth,” Cordae tells Rosa. “...I’m still a young boy trying to figure this s*** out.”

Released earlier this year, From a Bird’s Eye View is a solid 14-track project featuring Gunna, Lil Wayne, H.E.R. Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, Nas, Stevie Wonder, Eminem, and Roddy Riich. Similar to his debut The Lost Boy, the second album includes most of the features on the second half. Interestingly, Cordae admits that the sequencing for both projects wasn't necessarily intentional.

One of the stand-out singles on his latest album is “Chronicles,” a collaboration with H.E.R. and Lil Durk. Cordae says working with H.E.R. propelled him to step his game up musically. “She’s like an artist, an absolute artist of the highest caliber,” said Cordae.

“No bulls***, straight up the highest caliber as far as songwriting, singing, harmony, melody, rapping, producing, playing instruments. She can literally do it all at the highest level no bulls***.” The two worked together previously on songs like “Racks,” "Trauma," and “Lord Is Coming.” “We undefeated with songs together,” Cordae added.
