Gearing up to release his latest project, The Pink Tape, Lil Uzi Vert revealed to TMZ that he recorded the album completely sober.

Catching up with Uzi somewhere in Beverly Hills, TMZ questioned the rapper about his creative process this go around, which was admittedly different without an illicit substance in his system.
"It was challenging at first. But then after probably after a month, I got used to it,” Uzi admitted of compiling his new album completely sober. "I thought that my creative process wasn't going to be the same because I wasn't on drugs no more. It was the same. Even better. Because I could think more clear and I could actually, like, instead of my words slurring, which is kinda of cool, everything made sense. I didn't just make random music. How can I say? I didn't play off the beat. I actually made songs with topics this time.”
Uzi also noted he made his close group of friends sift through the 680 songs he recorded for the album, to find just the perfect ones for The Pink Tape. One of which is already making waves for its “Satan” laced lyrics after he debuted it at Rolling Loud California.
As for the rest of the record, according to Uzi it should be headed our way in the next couple of months.
