"After 17 years together, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi have decided to separate and have been for some time now," a rep for the duo stated in an exclusive statement to People published September 27. The statement went on to say that "the couple both wish each other well.”

Following the news, Miguel (clearly in his feels, rightfully so) took to his Instagram Stories to share some introspective thoughts.

"What do you desire? Have certainty and clear intention about your desire," the artist's post read. "Clarity is key...Only take action on things that relate to, and excite positive emotion to your desire."

Nazanin also (clearly in her feels as well) shared cryptic quotes on Instagram about finding one's self, as well as being open to finding love.

"Someone once said: 'You know you have a big heart when you feel bad for doing what's best for you.' And I felt that," one quote read, with the another stating, "Angel number 1212 symbolizes your spiritual awakening in life and a great sign that you're on your towards your luck for love.”

Miguel and Nazanin, both 35, met in high school and began dating when Mandi was just 18 years old. The couple were together for 10 years before the GRAMMY winner proposed in January 2016. And we're married in a gorgeous ceremony at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California two years later, in November 2018.

Just earlier this year in March, Mandi also spoke to People but about how she and Miguel managed to keep the spark alive through months of COVID quarantine.

Saying, “we were used to being around each other a lot, but then we were also used to traveling a lot," Mandi said at the time. "So keeping the spark alive was definitely something we had to stay on — because when you're in different cities, it's automatic to feel excitement (when you see each other again).”

"But being home (together) all the time, it's like, 'Okay, we have to find new things to watch, and to do and to read,' " she continued. "It was a lot, but overall, we did great. I have no complaints, (and) am grateful for everything."
