
Hosted by Audacy’s very own V-103 Atlanta, Winterfest returned for its seventh year in a row, taking over Atlanta, GA on December 15, 2023.
From T.I. to TLC, Lil Jon, Ying Yang Twins and Goodie Mob, this year's show also offered a very special tribute to the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop and Atlanta's influence on the genre.
After the impressive list of acts took the stage, a few stopped by to join V-103’s finest backstage to talk all about the event, 50 Years of Hip-Hop, upcoming music, and more. Watch it all below.

When TLC’s Chilli and T-Boz, the receipts of the V-103 People’s Award, talked with Big Tigger backstage, the duo shared just how “blessed” and “honored” they were to receive the award, and contemplated what it means to still be doing this 30 years after they began. The two also explored what other heights they would have reached as a group if Lisa’s tragic passing never happened, before sharing the prospect of some possible new music to come for their eventual Broadway musical.

After bringing out Lil Scrappy, Trillville, Crime Mob, YoungBloodZ, Jazze Pha, Ying Yang Twins and more on stage during his performance, Lil Jon stopped by to chat with Bubby Love and Chyna Marie, about the incredible performance and what it was like to see his city turn up for him like that. “It felt good, cause its been a long time since I got a chance to perform on stage out in the ATL, so it felt good to get the love,” Jon said. Noting he performed “some songs that were really big records in this city, and those songs helped catapult us to the rest of the world. So it’s fun to come back and do those songs.”

While talking with DJ Sturgess backstage, Keri Hilson wanted to be “very clear” about her recent Twitter activity. “People like wont let me live,” she said about the back and forth she’s been a part of. “I’m in the studio writing love record, right? So of course my tweets are gonna be about love. That’s why I said, ‘What are your thoughts?’.” Moral of Keri’s story is “let me live, it don’t mean I’m single, it don’t mean I’m taken, I’m just tweeting musings.” Musical musing that she’s been working on in the studio, and as Keri excitedly revealed is not just for other artists, but for herself as well.

Talking with Tigger fresh off the V-103 Winterfest stage, Jeezy said about the event that it “just feels like a big party… Seeing some of my favorites… I love the concept, I love how y’all put it together.” Also speaking about performing at his hometown of ATL, on the special anniversary year of 50 years of Hip-Hop, Jeezy expressed, “It’s special man, it feels like a homecoming party, just all the love, the standing ovation, it shows you why you do this. You can go all the way around the world, when you come back home and get that love… there’s nothing like it."
