According to multiple reports, the Padres have claimed veteran catcher Gary Sanchez, who was recently designated for assignment by the Mets. Sanchez had an OPS of .659 with 16 home runs and 61 RBIs in 128 games with the Twins in 2022. Sanchez will reportedly join the club in Miami for their 3-game series that begins on Tuesday.
