CCSD Agrees To Settlement In Teacher Abuse Case

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - The Clark County School District has agreed to a settlement with two plaintiffs who filed lawsuits claiming abuse be a special education teacher.

CCSD will pay out a little more that $1.8 million to the two plaintiffs.

The case stemmed from allegations that Special Education teacher Kasey Glass physically and emotionally abused two autistic students during her time at Adams Elementary.

The separate lawsuits also named a pair of school district administrators, claiming the pair failed to take appropriate action when the abuse claims were first made.

One of the unidentified plaintiffs will receive $1.2 million, while the second will recieve a $640,000 settlement.

Glass is no longer with the district, having taken a similar job with the Nye County school district.
